The fortress of Terezin was built in the end of 18th century by Emperor Josef II. It was a house for soldiers who were prepared to protect Prague from invasions from the north. Today Terezin is known as a Nazi German ghetto and concentration camp (Theresienstadt) into which this fortress was adjusted during World War 2. Over 33 000 inmates died here as a result of hunger, sickness, or the sadistic treatment meted out by their captors. Terezin was also used as a transit camp for European Jews in route to Auschwitz. Many of the 80 000 Czech Jews who died in the Holocaust died in Terezin, where the conditions were extremely difficult.

We offer private tours to Theresienstadt (Terezin) concentration camp which include hotel pick up and drop off at chosen time, comfortable mini-van/car, combined entrance tickets to Small Fortress + Ghetto Museum + Magdeburg Barracks and sightseeing with local English speaking guide in the Small Fortress

Tour lasts up to 5 hours.
